Yes, I admit that it is a little cliché and very much “the done thing” these days and we dutifully followed suit. I posted our first scan photo on Facebook the day after telling our friends. It is by far the easiest way to share the news with all of your other friends and acquaintances as I feel a message to them directly is a little pushy and presumptuous that they would be interested. I kept the private messages for the close friends who unfortunately couldn’t attend our birthday curry and who I couldn’t see personally before then.

As expected, the messages of congratulations flooded in, I have seen it with all of my friends’ scan photos before, and it was a nice way to finally celebrate our happy news in public.
